In the Pokemon X and Y games, the player is allowed to change their outfits and what they look like. This is new to the Pokemon franchise and suprised many players. The customizing feature allows the player to change their clothes, hair color, hair style, eye color, and makeup for the female players. In several of the towns and cities, there are boutiques where the player is allowed to purchase new clothes. At the Pokemon Centers, the player is allowed to change into the clothing they already have. Additonally, in Lumiose City, there is a hair salon where the player can change their hair style, color, eye color (using contacts in game), and makeup.
